Job description

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:
  1. Communicate with Food Service Manager to coordinate meal preparation and serving at both Main and West locations.
  2. Put away supplies, document, and properly store donations.
  3. Strictly adhere to menus and recipes for every meal.
  4. Maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor while guiding volunteers in dishwashing, equipment operation, meal preparation, serving, and cleanup.
  5. Manage time effectively to ensure meals are ready for service.
  6. Guide volunteers in serving meals, ensuring each guest receives a meal by monitoring food amounts.
  7. Follow proper food handling, preparation, serving, and storage procedures.
  8. Oversee volunteers in cleaning the kitchen and dining area, including teardown, cleaning of the serving line, prep area, equipment, sweeping, mopping, laundry, and bathroom cleaning at the West location.
  9. Ensure the work area is in good order at the end of each shift, including cleaning and reassembling equipment, wiping surfaces, and organizing utensils.
  10. West location staff may also facilitate volunteer orientation, assist with serving tasks, and ensure smooth operation during mealtime.
  11. Report supply needs and equipment issues to the Food Service Manager.
