Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites.

The role is on a full-time morning schedule, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, with a pay rate of $12.50 per hour and weekly pay. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas, following chemical cleaning procedures, and assisting with carpet care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or minimum six months in a janitorial-type position.
• On the job training will be provided; attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Preferred: prior cleaning or janitorial experience; familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans and use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned by client scope or needs.
