Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a janitor. The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or six months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and surfaces
• Clean and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash and dispose properly; use compactor as needed
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners
• Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions/shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
