Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a part-time caregiver in Ohio to support Individuals with daily activities, meal preparation, and medication administration. The role emphasizes person-centered planning, safety, and confidentiality.

You will work 8am-12pm, Monday through Friday, delivering compassionate care, following plans, and assisting with transportation and documentation as required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to company policies and procedures and upholds regulatory requirements.
• Sets positive examples for Individuals at all times.
• Follows person-centered and behavior plans as written for each Individual.
• Provides opportunities throughout the day to help Individuals meet their goals and participate in activities.
• Maintains a safe, healthy setting while upholding the rights of all Individuals.
• Protects Individuals from abuse and/or neglect and reports any concerns immediately.
• Maintains confidentiality of all Individuals' information.
• Follows and upholds house guidelines at all times.
• Cooks meals as necessary based on dietary specs and documentation.
• Manages food supply and storage according to policy.
• Transports Individuals, attends appointments, and helps obtain necessary documentation.
• Uses Individual funds to assist budgeting when needed.
• Completes required documentation before the end of shift (notes, logs, reports, LOA forms, inventories).
• Assists with laundry and supervises Individuals as needed per assignment.
• Coaches with bedroom cleanliness and house guidelines.
• Ensures home site cleanliness and is inspection-ready.
• Remains awake and accessible in homes requiring 24/7 care.
• Administers medications as needed.
• Hand-offs communication to the next shift staff.
• Cooperates with Beacon Specialized Living, DHS, or other regulators during inspections or inquiries.
• Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to BSLS Core Values and Mission Statement.
