Job summary

Fair Oaks Estates in Carmichael, CA is hiring a full-time morning Caregiver to start the day for our residents. You will support with morning personal care, meals, and safe mobility on a six-week, 4-on/2-off rotation; medications are handled by Med Techs.

Training is provided, with orientation and ongoing education. Weekend shifts and holidays are possible. This role emphasizes dignity, compassionate care, and reliable scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to Carmichael for a 6:00 AM start.
• Able to provide hands-on personal care and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Wake and greet residents gently, at their own pace.
• Assist with morning personal care: showers and bathing, dressing, grooming, daily shaving, oral and denture care, and incontinence care.
• Answer call lights within minutes.
• Provide safe transfers and walking support with gait belt, Hoyer lift, and two-person assists.
• Deliver breakfast and snacks; assist residents to and from meals and with feeding as needed.
• Support memory care residents through morning routines with patience and redirection.
• Report changes in a resident’s condition promptly to Med Tech or Care Managers.
• Lead or support morning activities such as walks in the garden, exercises, reading, and conversation.
• Change and launder linens; handle laundry, housekeeping, and sanitation.
• Document in Eldermark before shift end; hand off clearly to afternoon shift.
