Job summary

Schnuck Markets, Inc. is seeking a friendly bakery clerk to deliver courteous service at the store. The position requires availability 6am–6pm and weekends, with 20-25 hours per week.

You will assist customers, package baked goods, stock displays, and keep the bakery area clean in line with company safety procedures. Training is provided at store level; occasional other duties may be assigned by store management.

Qualifications

• Must be available between 6am–6pm and weekends.
• Regular, reliable attendance is essential.
• Assist customers with product selections.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand 4–8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Assist customers with product selections and suggestive selling.
• Process incoming products from bakery plant and direct store delivery vendors.
• Package fresh-baked products and slice/wrap bread.
• Stock displays in cases and on shelves; rotate products.
• Prepare decorated cakes and bake cookies.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area following safety procedures.
