Job summary

Chuck-A-Rama in Utah is seeking a dedicated Baker to prepare our rolls, scones, desserts, and other bakery favorites from scratch each day. You’ll mix, bake, and finish recipes, ensuring everything looks and tastes just right for our guests.

Most bakery shifts are daytime, typically around 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. You’ll work with a kitchen team to keep items fresh, well-presented, and in sync with buffet needs, while following food safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enjoy baking and working with food.
• Able to follow recipes and instructions carefully.
• Organized, dependable, and task-oriented.
• Pays close attention to quality and consistency.
• Can manage multiple recipes and tasks during a shift.
• Communicates well and works as part of a team.
• Willing to obtain a Food Handler Permit.
• Understands the importance of food safety and sanitation.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Preparing our signature rolls and scones from scratch.
• Making cakes, cookies, pies, puddings, and other desserts.
• Measuring, mixing, portioning, shaping, and baking according to Chuck-A-Rama recipes.
• Preparing doughs, batters, fillings, toppings, and other bakery items.
• Ensuring baked goods are fresh, consistent, and beautifully presented.
• Planning ahead so bakery favorites are ready when the buffet needs them.
• Setting up and stocking workstation.
• Safely operating and caring for bakery and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping work area clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Following food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
• Working with the kitchen team to keep fresh food coming throughout the day.
