Job summary

Mackenthun's Fine Foods is seeking a Baker for the early morning team (4am–12pm), available as Full Time or Part Time. You will prepare, bake, and display a variety of goods, while engaging customers and maintaining high standards of quality and freshness.

The role blends traditional baking with friendly customer interaction and emphasizes Mackenthun’s Exceptional Experience. Previous baking or food-handling experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and safety practices required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; previous baking experience preferred.
• Basic math skills, ability to work independently and as a team, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Analyze baking needs and bake products consistently throughout shifts.
• Measure, mix, bake, and package goods; assist with donut frying and cake decorating.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ingredient ordering.
• Assist customers in selecting baked goods and answer product-related questions.
• Offer recommendations and inform customers about specials or new products.
• Keep the bakery area clean and sanitary, adhering to food safety standards.
• Clean ovens, equipment, and dispose of waste.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with receiving and storing bakery shipments.
• Report shortages or equipment issues.
• Follow food safety regulations for proper handling, storage, and sanitation.
