Job summary

Quincy Kroc Center in Quincy, IL is seeking an energetic Aquatic Group Fitness Instructor to lead our morning water fitness classes. You will create a positive, safe, and engaging experience for participants of varying fitness levels.

This part-time role offers pay $17–$27 per hour, paid training, and a complimentary Kroc Center membership. The schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 8:00–8:45 am, with opportunities to grow and contribute to our wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in fitness instruction, coaching, aquatic leadership, or related field.
• Ability to lead and engage groups safely, professionally, and with motivation.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt exercises for varying fitness levels and abilities.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Passion for health, wellness, fitness, and helping others achieve goals.
• Willingness to obtain a qualifying Group Fitness Instructor certification within a designated timeframe if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead aquatic group fitness classes for a range of fitness levels.
• Create a positive, motivating class experience that drives participation and retention.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and offer modifications as needed.
• Ensure safety while maintaining energy and engagement.
• Prepare and organize aquatic fitness equipment before/after class.
• Build relationships with members and foster a welcoming community.
