Job Objective

Plan educational programs responsive to each student, preparing them for future success, and provide academic and non-academic support to ensure opportunity and access for all students.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Teacher’s License from the Ohio Department of Education
  • Documentation of a clear criminal record

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Prepare classroom, requisition supplies, promote proper use of school property.
  • Teach scheduled classes, document objectives, create effective learning experiences.
  • Align lesson plans with district and state standards, submit plans as required.
  • Uphold policies, follow procedures, and ensure appropriate use of technology.
  • Promote a positive school image, implement behavioral management, and maintain high standards.
  • Develop a positive learning environment, stimulate interest, and communicate expectations.
  • Evaluate student needs, plan interventions, and differentiate instruction.
  • Counsel students, collaborate with colleagues, and organize tasks efficiently.
  • Manage conflicts, maintain attendance, and travel for meetings.
  • Assist students with personal needs, support standardized testing, and maintain records.
  • Respect privacy, evaluate students, and communicate with parents.
  • Use data for instruction, report concerns, and participate in team collaborations.
  • Support IEPs and Section 504 plans, promote inclusivity, and schedule home visits.
  • Ensure student safety, supervise activities, and participate in school events.
  • Engage in professional development, accept responsibility, and maintain professionalism.

Supervisory Responsibility

Plan work and monitor staff and volunteers under the principal’s guidance, promoting teamwork.

Working Conditions

Ability Requirements
