Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc in Washington state seeks an Assistant Montessori Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a nurturing classroom where children explore with independence and joy.

The role requires Monday–Friday hours from 7:15am to 5:30pm and adherence to Merit program requirements, safety standards, and WA state guidelines. We value patient, dedicated educators who believe in the power of the child.

Qualifications

  • Current Background Check from the state of WA in Merit.
  • TB Test within 12 months.
  • Immunity to Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) documentation.
  • First Aid/CPR (AHA or Red Cross).
  • Food Handlers card from WA Dept. of Health.
  • Child Care Basics or Educational Exemption in Merit.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing materials and maintaining the classroom order.
  • Supervising children during work cycles and outdoor play.
  • Guiding and assisting children with basic needs and grace and courtesy.
  • Supporting the Lead Teacher with daily record-keeping and classroom management.

Role Responsibilities (Summary)

The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in maintaining a beautiful, purposeful, and nurturing classroom environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing materials and maintaining the order of the classroom.
  • Supervising children during work cycles and outdoor play.
  • Guiding and assisting children with basic needs and grace and courtesy.
  • Supporting the Lead Teacher with daily record-keeping and classroom management.
Requirements
Must be able to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:15am-5:30PM

a Merit Account and a STARS number All documents must be in Merit. (Please see bottom of document)

  • Current Background Check from the state of WA. in Merit
  • TB Test within 12 months
  • Documentation showing immunity to Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR), either vaccination records or results of a Titer test prior to working in the program.
  • First Aid/CPR AHA or Red Cross
  • Food Handlers card from the WA. Dept. of Health
  • Child Care Basics or Educational Exemption in Merit.
  • Safe Sleep
  • Hiring Education Requirement: High School Diploma
