Job summary

Montessori Kids Universe Bannockburn seeks a dynamic Head of School - Director to lead daily operations of our licensed early childhood program. You will ensure a safe, nurturing environment, support educators, and collaborate with families to sustain high standards of Montessori education.

The role requires proactive leadership, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to staff development and family partnerships in a busy center setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet Illinois DCFS Director Qualification requirements or obtain within an agreed timeframe.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or early childhood education environment is required.
• Montessori training is preferred but not required.
• Have or be willing to obtain Food Managers Certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification and other required childcare training must be maintained.
• Strong leadership and staff-management abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of school operations.
• Ensure licensing compliance and accurate records are maintained.
• Recruit, mentor, supervise, and retain qualified teachers and staff.
• Oversee enrollment, family relationships, and community engagement.
• Coordinate budgets, staffing, and school resources.
