Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is hiring Morning Arrival Assistant Teachers (7:00am–10:00am) and Afternoon Assistant Teachers (3:00pm–6:00pm) at our Leawood school in Kansas. These part-time roles are ideal for parents, students, or anyone seeking meaningful work with a purpose-driven setting.

You will support a mixed-age Montessori classroom (Infant to 6 years) by preparing learning spaces, guiding activities, and helping children grow with patience, respect, and care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Reliable availability for either the 7:00–10:00 or 3:00–6:00 shift, five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Welcome children and families during arrival and transitions.
• Observe children to understand and support individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to foster a strong classroom community.
