American Montessori Academy in Livonia, MI, is hiring a part-time School Lunch Aide to supervise students during lunch periods from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role offers a $16 hourly rate and requires reliable, patient staff who support a calm, safe lunch environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in educational or caregiving settings and strong communication skills to engage with students and staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development, education, or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to children and their families.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules to maintain a respectful and orderly environment.
• Communicate effectively with students and school staff regarding student behavior and any relevant issues.
• Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and constructive manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lunch area.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
• Other duties as assigned
