Job summary

Guidepost Montessori seeks a Lead Children's House Guide in Cary, NC to lead a mixed-age preschool classroom in a Montessori environment. You will foster concentration, independence, and deep learning through observation and individualized guidance.

You will support children's academic, social, and emotional development with tailored lessons, language, and family collaboration, while maintaining a beautiful, accessible prepared environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 3–6 in a group learning environment.
• Aligned with child-led philosophies such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia.
• Montessori diploma for ages 3–6 or willingness to obtain certification (fully sponsored).
• Bachelor's degree in any field; ECE or Child Development credits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child closely to understand and support their development.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly classroom that fosters concentration and independence.
• Encourage self-confidence by supporting children to do things themselves.
