Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Children’s House Guide to lead a mixed-age preschool classroom for ages 3–6 in a Montessori environment designed to nurture concentration, confidence, and deep learning. You will provide individualized and small-group lessons, observe each child’s development, and build strong, respectful relationships with families.

The role includes a sponsored Montessori diploma, ongoing professional development, and a competitive $50k–$60k salary.

Qualifications

Montessori diploma for ages 3–6 or willing to obtain certification (fully sponsored).
Experience with children ages 3–6 in group learning settings.
Alignment with child-led approaches such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia.
ECE or Child Development credits required.
Bachelor's degree in any field.

Responsibilities

Observe and support each child’s development across physical, cognitive, and emotional domains.
Maintain an orderly, inviting classroom that promotes concentration and independence.
Foster self-confidence by guiding children to do tasks themselves.
Provide individual and small-group lessons in practical life, literacy, math, and more.
Build strong relationships with children and their families.
Collaborate with parents to support growth objectives.
Lead the classroom with warmth, professionalism, and purpose.
