Job summary

Montessori Unlimited in Duluth, GA seeks a dedicated Food Specialist to plan home-style, nutritious meals within the school menu and budget. You will prepare meals for children and staff and distribute food to classrooms while following USDA and licensing rules.

The role includes inventory management and occasional classroom assistance to support a collaborative school culture. This is a meaningful position for someone who loves children and wants to contribute to their growth every day,

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals within the school's menu and budget.
• Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff and distribute food to classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu in accordance with USDA/licensing regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
