Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher-Aide to assist in planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities. The role involves maintaining compliance documentation and fostering parent involvement, ensuring adherence to established policies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, with preference given to those with college credits or CDA credentials, and experience in preschool settings. Candidates should have familiarity with child development techniques and bilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a pre-school classroom preferred.
• Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher in planning and executing activities.
• Maintain documentation/reports to meet compliance standards.
• Facilitate parent involvement in program activities.
• Design individualized lesson plans based on observations.
• Ensure a learning environment based on the Montessori approach.
