Job summary

Community Montessori School seeks a warm, collaborative Children’s House Guide to join our Montessori community. The ideal candidate is deeply committed to authentic Montessori practice and values respectful relationships with children and families.

The Children’s House Guide leads a Montessori classroom for ages 3–6, prepares the environment, plans lessons, and partners with families while aligning with school expectations and leadership.

Qualifications

• AMI Montessori Primary Diploma or AMS Early Childhood Credential is required.
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic technology tools.
• Ability to meet all applicable background check and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain an engaging Montessori classroom environment aligned with Montessori principles and school expectations.
• Guide students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons and activities.
• Maintain accurate student records and classroom documentation.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with classroom support staff and school leadership to ensure classroom consistency and student success.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development.
