Job summary

Riverbend School is a Pre‑K through 8th Grade Montessori school in the Boston Metrowest area with approximately 200 students and 50 staff members. The Children's House Director leads curriculum and pedagogy for Toddler through Kindergarten, working with all administrators to maintain a strong enrollment and reputation.

The Director supervises faculty, coordinates with enrollment management, and upholds Montessori principles, while partnering with families to support student success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an early childhood school setting.
• Understanding of Montessori philosophy; training preferred.
• Experience with curriculum development, supervision, evaluation, PD, and enrollment management.
• Ability to relate to staff, students, families, and contracted professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset.
• Comfortable in culturally diverse environment; value multiple perspectives.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum and pedagogy for the Children's House.
• Lead and support faculty, substitute coverage, and professional development.
• Collaborate with enrollment and retention teams.
• Attend admin meetings and manage schedules and calendars.
• Support DEIJ initiatives and family relations.
• Coordinate with specialists and external providers.
