Job summary

Step By Step Montessori Chaska is seeking a Center Director to provide day-to-day leadership for a school serving infants to elementary students. You will drive Montessori pedagogy, support staff development, and foster a warm family‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities include building a positive community, ensuring high-quality care and education, and collaborating with a strong team of educators to grow the program and enrich student outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Education is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of AA degree, training, and 3-5 years' experience will be considered.
• Experience in Montessori education preferred, but not required.
• Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
• A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience with strong performance results.
• Proficiency with technology and software applications including current version of MS Office.
• May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspire positive community interactions and foster a family‑focused school culture.
• Ensure quality care and education of all children from Infant to Elementary age.
• Facilitate Montessori pedagogy in a safe, healthy classroom environment.
• Collaborate with staff to support children’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
• Lead and develop staff to achieve school objectives and growth.
