Founded in 2004, BME Strategies is a Massachusetts-based consulting firm specializing in providing Public Health design and implementation programming for local, regional, and state governments.

Position Overview

As a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Quality Improvement Consultant at BME Strategies, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's public health measurement, impact assessment, and data-driven decision-making. This position focuses on ensuring the quality and effectiveness of public health programs through detailed monitoring, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, translating complex public health data into actionable insights that guide program effectiveness and inform policy decisions. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical expertise in monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis, looking to apply their skills in a supportive, non-leadership capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Analysis

  • Design, implement, and analyze monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks for public health programs, using mixed-methods research approaches
  • Incorporate AI tools and data analysis systems into M&E processes
  • Conduct advanced data analysis using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Apply epidemiological and biostatistical methods to analyze program outcomes, detect trends, and measure intervention effectiveness
  • Develop and manage public health dashboards to make data insights accessible and actionable for stakeholders
  • Translate complex public health data into clear, concise reports for diverse audiences, including government agencies, health organizations, and policymakers


Project Support and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide technical support for evaluation and assessment projects, ensuring alignment with public health best practices and community needs
  • Develop evaluation frameworks, logic models, and mixed-methods approaches to assess public health program outcomes
  • Ensure that project contracts remain current, accurate, and compliant with funding and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with public health agencies, funders, and cross-sector partners to support collaboration and impact


Quality Improvement and Capacity Building

  • Assist with the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies, focusing on public health program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing monitoring and evaluation results and suggesting actionable improvements for program design and implementation
  • Support the use of data-driven insights to enhance program delivery and policy-making


Requirements

Required

  • Master's degree (MPH, MS, or related field) in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or program evaluation
  • 6-12 years of relevant experience in public health monitoring, evaluation, and assessment
  • Proficiency in data analysis using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, Python) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience in applying mixed-methods research and performance measurement techniques to public health initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, balancing strategic insights with hands-on technical work.


Preferred:

  • PhD with a specialization in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or program evaluation
  • Knowledge of public health informatics, surveillance systems, and electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Experience in environmental health assessments, health equity research, and social determinants of health analysis
  • Remote work, with occasional travel to client sites, conferences, or meetings as required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment

Compensation and Benefits

Expected range is $95,000 to $120,000/annually
