Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is seeking a telemetry monitoring supervisor to oversee monitoring staff, interpret cardiac rhythms, and support clinical teams. The role emphasizes keeping equipment functional, accurate documentation, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

The position requires 2+ telemetry experience, an associate degree (preferred), and a high school diploma or equivalent. Day shifts with full-time schedule and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Pleasant telephone manner and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with patients/public in potentially difficult situations.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise monitoring staff and assess performance against goals.
• Maintain staffing schedules and timekeeping using approved tools.
• Support onboarding, training and ongoing skill development for monitoring personnel.
• Interpret cardiac monitoring data and identify rhythm changes.
• Document rhythm variations and relay to care teams promptly.
• Ensure monitoring equipment is functional and available.
• Enter telemetry-related charges and document rhythm strips in records.
• Assist clinical teams with monitoring support for patient care.
• Maintain inventory of monitoring supplies for uninterrupted operations.
• Keep an organized and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow and patient care.
• Contribute to continuous monitoring process improvements.
