We are seeking a Monitor Technician PRN to join our team to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. If you believe patient care is as meaningful as we do, we want you to apply and become a part of our dedicated team!

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Monitor Technician to join our team. As a Monitor Tech, you will perform duties including EKG monitoring and interpretation, compiling, transcribing, preparing, and maintaining records for your unit. You will also provide information and communication services to visitors and staff, and assist nursing staff in maintaining efficient operations on the unit.

Your tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Interpreting Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
  • Reporting all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
  • Maintaining Telemetry Supplies.
  • Recording patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Performing duties with full understanding of related age-specific factors.
  • Orienting and mentoring new staff members.
  • Following Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course with demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • CMT/Cardiac experience preferred.
  • Experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting preferred.

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
