AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Part-time Monitor Technician to support patient care on a telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patient data, following training, and maintaining effective communication with patients and staff.

• Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient populations served within the department.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Accurate typing skills.
• Neat and legible handwriting.
• Successfully complete Virtual Patient Observation training.
• Verbal interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• Keyboarding and basic clerical skills.
• Basic EKG class or equivalent knowledge.
• Medical terminology [Preferred]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year of monitor tech experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$16.30 - $26.08
