Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Per Diem Monitor Technician to cover 7 AM to 7 PM in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong customer service skills, and the ability to pass a telemetry exam. Prior monitor tech experience is preferred, with duties including monitoring, documentation, and communication with the care team.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass pre-hire telemetry exam.

Responsibilities

  • Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
  • Performs independent check of strips to include: time, PR interval measurement, QRS measurement, QT measurement, ectopy and baseline rhythm.
  • Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician.
  • Effectively communicates telemetry‑related patient information to members of the health care team.
  • Continuously checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process.
  • May perform relevant duties as needed.
