Job summary

IU Health is seeking upcoming or recent graduate diagnostic radiology technologists to join a dedicated team in Indianapolis. The role focuses on cardiac monitoring for patients using telemetry, with documentation of rhythm changes per protocol and reporting of events.

The schedule runs Monday to Wednesday, 6:30a–7:00p, with no on-call or weekends, but with holiday rotation. The position emphasizes completion of a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course, BLS certification, and familiarity with rhythm

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course; anatomy/physiology courses may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA required.
• Knowledge of arrhythmia recognition essential.
• Previous telemetry monitoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and document changes per protocol.
• Report rhythm changes and events following established procedures.

Overview

Are you an upcoming diagnostic radiology technologist graduate or recent graduate? This pipeline allows the IU Health Talent Acquisition team to connect upcoming and recent diagnostic radiology technologist graduates with opportunities that best align with their unique skills and interests. Schedule is Mon, Tues, & Wed 6:30a - 7:00p with no call/no weekends. Holiday rotation is required.

Responsible for the cardiac monitoring of patients including those with technological support (i.e., pacemakers, AICD). Documents changes in rhythm and reports these changes according to established protocol.

• Requires high school graduate or equivalent. Requires successful completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course; anatomy and physiology courses and/or related courses.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course and/or related courses required.
• Requires current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Requires thorough knowledge of arrhythmia recognition.
• Requires good visual acuity and sustained concentration to effectively observe cardiac rhythms on CRTs.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Previous experience with telemetry monitoring or related field is preferred.
