Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Monitor Technician to support telemetry and patient care in a full-time, on-site role. You will observe ECG patterns, document findings, and promptly alert nursing staff to abnormalities while maintaining alarm systems and logbooks.

Requirements include high school diploma, English proficiency, basic computer skills, and professional telephone manners. The position offers day shift hours and competitive pay with benefits from Day One.

Qualifications

• Monitor technician experience or completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Proficiency in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates behavior that aligns with the company's core values.
• Documents in accordance with department policy and maintain telemetry logbook.
• Observes monitors, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG patterns, and promptly notify nursing staff of any abnormalities.
• Maintains monitor alarms per policy, verifies alarms are set and audible every shift, and troubleshoots monitors as needed.
• Participates in practice changes from performance improvement activities, demonstrating accurate documentation and monitoring of activities, and supporting departmental quality standards.

• Monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.

• Proficiency in the English language.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Pleasant telephone manner and organizational skills.

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ monitor tech experience [Preferred]
• Medical terminology [Preferred]

Licenses And Certifications

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

Pay Range

$16.30 - $26.08
