Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Monitor Tech to support patient care by monitoring rhythm strips, performing video monitoring, and assisting licensed nursing staff. This role includes clerical and reception duties to help admissions and communications flow smoothly within the patient care area.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, and candidates with a CNA credential are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor, interpret, and document rhythm strips and/or video monitor of patients as assigned.

• Coordinate clerical, reception, admissions and communications tasks to facilitate smooth unit functioning.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient and family interactions during care.

The Monitor Tech (MT) performs clerical, reception, admissions, communication and coordination of tasks to facilitate smooth functioning of the patient care area. Participates in the delivery of patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff for patients served Identifies, monitors, interprets, and documents rhythm strips and/or performs video monitoring of patients as assigned. Performs direct and indirect diagnostic therapeutic, administrative and service tasks necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the unit. The MT applies knowledge of growth and development in patient and family interactions to care for patients.
