Job summary

GW Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a detail-oriented Monitor Technician to join the Telemetry team. You will continuously observe and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure prompt recognition of changes and collaborate with nursing staff for timely intervention.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an EKG/Telemetry certification, and BLS. Prior telemetry or patient-care experience and strong multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a recognized EKG or Telemetry certification program.
  • Previous experience in telemetry monitoring or patient care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry patients.
  • Recognize and report abnormal rhythms, arrhythmias, and changes in patient status.
  • Maintain telemetry monitoring equipment and accurate documentation.
  • Communicate findings with nursing and medical teams.
  • Assist in setting up and discontinuing telemetry monitoring as needed.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Monitor Technician to join our Telemetry team. The Monitor Technician plays a critical role in patient care by continuously observing and interpreting cardiac rhythms, ensuring prompt recognition of arrhythmias, and collaborating with nursing staff for timely intervention.

Key Responsibilities
