Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Monitor Technician to join our Telemetry team in Washington, DC. The Monitor Tech will continually observe and interpret cardiac rhythms, ensuring prompt recognition of arrhythmias and timely intervention with nursing staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient rhythms, reporting abnormalities, maintaining equipment, documenting findings, and coordinating with medical teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a recognized EKG or Telemetry certification program.
• Previous experience in telemetry monitoring or patient care.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
