Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' EKG rhythms and observe and interpret rhythms per remote viewing station.
• Assemble and maintain logs; ensure patient charts are filed and scanned into EMR in a timely manner.
• Communicate with nursing staff and run errands as needed to support patient care.
• Assist with acceptance, registration, and electronic transfer of patients; operate fax/copy machines, Hyland scanner, and pneumatic tube system.
• Maintain and track equipment; support daily operations of the patient care team.

Expected pay for this position is $18.27 - $20.29/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor Technicians function as a member of the Patient Care Team. They observe, monitor, and interpret patients' EKG rhythms per remote viewing station. They assemble and maintain logs and are able to recognize and identify cardiac rhythms, alarms, and emergent situations. They are responsible for assembly, maintenance, cleaning, and tracking of equipment. They assemble and maintain patient charts ensuring documents are filed and scanned into EMR in a timely manner. The Monitor Technician communicates with nursing staff and may run errands for the staff upon request. The position performs duties and tasks related to acceptance, registration, and electronic transfer of patients. The Monitor Technician utilizes fax/copy machines, Hyland scanner, and pneumatic tube system.
