AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Monitor Technician to observe telemetry, document ECG patterns, and promptly notify nursing staff of any abnormalities. The role requires maintaining alarms, troubleshooting monitors, and supporting quality standards within the department.

Schedule: Full time, Night shift (United States of America)
Shift: Night’s 7:15 pm to 7:15 am, 3 shifts per week with 6 weekend shifts per week schedule cycle. Must be open.

Demonstrates behavior that aligns with the company’s core values. Documents in accordance with department policy and maintains telemetry logbook. Observes monitors, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG patterns, and promptly notifies nursing staff of any abnormalities. Maintains monitor alarms per policy, verifies that alarms are set and audible every shift, and troubleshoots monitors as needed. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities, demonstrating accurate documentation and monitoring of activities, and supporting departmental quality standards and initiatives. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade skills, performing other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit. Maintains telemetry printout during cardiac arrest and as indicated. Ensures effective communication with the healthcare team regarding patient status and any changes observed. Other duties as assigned. Assists in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment is properly sanitized and stored. Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and departmental procedures.
