Job summary

Regency Hospital in Sylvania, OH seeks a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient alarms, interpret basic and complex rhythms, and coordinate with RNs. The role supports 12-hour shifts, with full-time days, and requires the ability to cover multiple locations as needed.

You will participate in a comprehensive orientation, pursue ongoing education, and benefit from health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO and a 401(k) with company match. A strong patient-care mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
  • Ability to pick up shifts at Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed.
  • Demonstrated alarm monitoring and prompt response to alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously watch monitors and respond to alarms in a timely manner.
  • Verify identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifacts.
  • Perform EKG interpretations including rate, PRI, QRS, QT intervals, ST segments.
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.

Position: Telemetry Technician

Location: Sylvania, OH

Schedule: Full-Time Days, 12-Hour Shifts

Compensation: $18.87 to $23.00 Per Hour

  • This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.

  • You will assume responsibility for continuously watching and ensuring appropriate and timely responses to alarms. Verifying correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact; maintaining EKG monitor alarms and responding to all alarms as needed.
  • Continuously observing all monitors assigned and responding to alarms promptly and appropriately.
  • Completing EKG interpretations including: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, wave form alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
  • Ensuring strip interpretations are validated by RN.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)*, Licensed Paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training (*LPNs are limited to working as telemetry tech only.)
