Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Monitor Tech to provide continuous ECG monitoring and accurate rhythm interpretation for Telemetry. You will monitor EKG strips, measure intervals, report malfunctions, and maintain equipment readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a GED, be able to complete telemetry competency within 30 days, and may have 1 year of monitor tech experience; CCMTT or CRAT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• PHC telemetry competency assessment within 30 days is required.
• CCMTT Certification preferred; CRAT Certification preferred.

Possesses knowledge and ability to provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias interpretation including: measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations. Possesses troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring problems, identifies probable causes, and seeks solutions to correct the problem. Responsible for maintaining inventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters in working condition and responsible for appropriately reporting malfunctions promptly as applicable.

• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International Preferred
