Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patients with continuous ECG, interpret cardiac rhythms, and support the telemetry team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires knowledge of arrhythmia interpretation and ability to troubleshoot monitoring issues. A High School diploma or GED is required, with CCMTT or CRAT certifications preferred to support clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms/basic EKG interpretation.
• Experience with continuous ECG monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous ECG monitoring and interpret EKG strips, including P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST deviations.
• Troubleshoot monitoring issues, identify causes, and implement solutions.
• Maintain telemetry inventories, supplies, hardware and transmitters, and report malfunctions promptly.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Possesses knowledge and ability to provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias interpretation including: measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations. Possesses troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring problems, identifies probable causes, and seeks solutions to correct the problem. Responsible for maintaining inventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters in working condition and responsible for appropriately reporting malfunctions promptly as applicable.
