POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and the care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served
Ø Promotes customer service initiatives
Ø Telemetry responsibilities
Ø Assign telemetry as ordered
Ø Provides continuous observation of telemetry monitors
Ø Recognizes any arrhythmias
Ø Documents monitor tracing
Ø Assists with trouble shooting telemetry
Ø Communicates findings to nursing staff and physicians on a regular basis
Ø Answers telephones and public inquiries appropriately
Ø Processes orders/consults accurately
Ø Conveys STAT orders to appropriate personnel immediately
Ø Maintains patient charts – identifies information/risk factors on chart
Ø Maintains par levels on supplies.
Ø Responds to call lights, directs request to appropriate staff
Ø All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø High school diploma/GED preferred
Ø Completion of telemetry monitoring/arrhythmia training
Ø Successfully passes an arrhythmia interpretation examination annually
Ø Basic computer skills
Ø Good communication skills
