Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Monitor Technician to support telemetry care. Under supervision, you will monitor telemetry setup on patients and assist with alarm management and routine rhythm checks.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED and current BLS; no experience is required. You will perform ECGs as needed, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate closely with nursing staff to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretations and performing ECG tracings is helpful.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry setup on patients under supervision.
• Check for accurate date/time printout on rhythm strips.
• Provide daily printings of each patient’s rhythm strip.
• Maintain appropriate alarm settings for each patient.
• Assist in troubleshooting monitor equipment.
• Alert staff when a patient is in crisis.
• Perform ECGs as needed.
• Maintain supplies for monitor area.

This position may be filled as a Monitor Technician I, II, or III depending on individual qualifications, experience, and business need.

General Summary

Under general supervision,will monitortelemetry set up on patients.
