Job summary

MultiCare Covington Medical Center in Covington, WA is seeking a Monitor Technician/Health Unit Coordinator to provide vital patient care, monitor telemetry and support care delivery on a busy unit. You will serve as the primary communications hub and collaborate with the Clinical Director and charge nurse to ensure seamless patient services.

The role requires a high school diploma with preferred HUC vocational training and rhythm identification training.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferred.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• One year of clerical experience in a medical setting preferred.
• On the job training provided with rhythm identification training and telemetry competency.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unit.
• Observe telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse groups.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director and charge nurse for optimal care delivery.
