Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a night-shift, full-time Central Telemetry Monitoring Technician. The role focuses on accurate record-keeping, monitoring patient rhythms, and prompt reporting of changes.

The technician may perform Unit Secretary duties and must communicate effectively with the care team. Required Telemetry Training with a certificate, and hospital-based testing if recently certified.

Qualifications

• Completion of Telemetry Training and certificate of completion.
• Must pass hospital-based testing if certified within last 6 months.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe monitors, maintain accurate records and report rhythm changes promptly.
• Perform Unit Secretary duties as assigned and communicate effectively.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a Monitor Technician:

Responsibilities

The Monitor Tech is responsible for accurate record-keeping, observation of monitors, and prompt reporting of cardiac rhythm changes. The Monitor Tech must possess effective communication skills. This position will routinely perform Unit Secretary duties for the unit as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Completion of Telemetry Training and a passed test (certificate of completion required).
• If certified in the past six (6) months, the candidate must be successful in passing hospital-based testing upon hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree.
• 1+ years of related experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
