Job summary

Travel Telemetry Monitor Technician role based in York, Maine, is a 15-week travel assignment offering 36 hours per week. It requires ECG/dysrhythmia monitoring experience, a high school diploma or GED, and AHA BLS certification.

The position involves continuous patient rhythm monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure timely care. Shifts include two 12-hour day blocks and one 12-hour night shift; on-site hospital telemetry environment with opportunities to work

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ECG/dysrhythmia monitoring experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ability to complete the facility's dysrhythmia course and EKG competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and promptly notify nursing staff of changes.
• Interpret ECG rhythms and document telemetry strips per department standards.
• Perform routine ectopy checks and telemetry strip documentation.
• Initiate, configure, and discontinue telemetry monitoring as patients are admitted, transferred, or discharged.
• Maintain telemetry equipment and ensure daily maintenance of telemetry boxes.
• Perform EKG procedures as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records, telemetry documentation, and charging information.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.
• Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while upholding high clinical standards.
