Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, seeks an LPN to join our telemetry monitoring team on the night shift. You will interpret rhythm strips, document findings, and operate monitoring equipment following hospital standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, LA LPN licensure, BLS certification, and strong communication and computer skills. This is a 42-hour weekly position with 7pm–7am shifts.

Job Description And Position Requirements

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 42

Work Shift: 7pm - 7am

Summary of the Job

Trained caregiver responsible for telemetry monitoring including rhythm strip interpretation, documentation and operation of the monitoring equipment in accordance with the standards and procedures of the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent with knowledge of medical terminology and competency with rhythm interpretation or current LA LPN licensure. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Communication, computer, time management and time management skills.

Physical Demands

Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
