Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Monitor for their Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) aimed at placing youth ages 16‑21 in minimum wage work experiences during the summer. The Monitor will ensure appropriate youth-employer interactions through calls and site visits.

This temporary full-time position requires current undergraduate students and offers compensation of $21.26 per hour along with comprehensive benefits, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and more.

Job description

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is an initiative of CAMBA to place youth ages 16‑21 in minimum wage work experiences during July and August. The program places participants in public agencies and private non‑profits across the city.

Position: Monitor

Reports To: Program Manager

Location: 21 Snyder Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11226

Responsibilities

• Through periodic telephone calls and site visits to employment locations, assure that youth clients are working appropriately with employers.

• Provide conflict resolution between employers and employees, as needed.
• Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports.

Minimum Education/Experience Required

• Current undergraduate student.

Compensation: $21.26 hourly
