Responsibilities

• Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while enroute; keeps order on the bus.
• Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver; cooperates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheelchair lifts.
• Assists students in loading and unloading.
• Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attends all safety and training meetings.
• Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door; may also require physical removal of a disabled child from the bus.
• Assists the driver in completing required paperwork for District, State, ICBS, etc.
• Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.

Description:
