Van Pool Transportation LLC in Hudson, MA is hiring a School Van Monitor for part-time work. You will help students board and exit vehicles, ensure seat belts are used, and monitor behavior on routes. This role includes training, a 401(k) option, dental and vision coverage, and life insurance.

Shifts are typically 5:30am–9:00am and 1:00pm–5:00pm with potential route adjustments. Must pass CORI/SORI and drug screening and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Able to pass a background check (CORI/SORI) and drug screen.
• Effective communication in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and secure them in car seats or boosters; lifting may be required.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance; report unsafe or inappropriate behavior to management.
• Communicate clearly in English with students, parents, teachers and Van Pool staff; use two-way radio.
• Install car seats/ boosters as needed and follow directions from supervisors.

This includes helping them enter and exit the vehicle, using the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belts, and safely securing them in car seats and booster seats.
