Job summary

North Star Behavioral Health in Anchorage, AK seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient behavioral health team. The selected candidate will conduct admissions, follow-ups, and medical consults, working a Monday-Thursday schedule with four 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• FNP or PA-C credential and Alaska APRN license.
• Board certification in ANCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA.
• Inpatient, acute care or behavioral/mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission H&Ps, follow-up assessments, and medical consults.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and nursing staff.
• Manage medical needs of inpatient behavioral health patients.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care.
