AMETEK, Inc. seeks an Atomizing Melter to support the Eighty Four Plant operations, working with the operations team to safely melt and pour metal, train others, and update procedures. You will collaborate with maintenance and management to resolve issues and maintain quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to work any shift.
• General problem-solving skills.
• Strong and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Performs all duties in a safe manner and follows all Company and Site safety rules.
• Charges the raw material into furnaces to maintain efficient melting.
• Ensures the prescribed conditions for pouring molten metal into the atomizing chamber.
• Pours molten metal into atomizing chamber.
• Exercises judgement on condition of various refractory components to prevent failures during melting.
• Tears down and relines refractory components as needed in furnace and tundish assemblies.
• Maintains atomizing and melting records.
• Changes plenums, top hat assemblies, nozzles, and switch pumps.
• Records pour temperature, atomization pressure and water flow during each heat.
• Completes housekeeping duties in the assigned area and other areas as requested.
• Trains others in a safe and productive manner.
• Assists with the creation and updating of SOPs, Task Element Sheets, and related paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
