Tempus AI in the United States is seeking a dedicated molecular laboratory professional to generate high-quality test data with rapid turnaround in a cutting-edge clinical lab.

You will perform complex molecular procedures, monitor SOP adherence, troubleshoot routine issues, and enter patient data into LIMS, while upholding CAP/CLIA standards to advance precision medicine.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and collaboration in a clinical lab setting.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control in molecular workflows.
  • Comfort with entering patient data into LIMS and following SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality molecular test data with rapid turnaround times.
  • Perform complex molecular-based procedures following established protocols.
  • Identify deviations from SOPs and implement fixes under direction.
  • Perform molecular techniques such as qPCR, NGS, DNA/RNA extraction, quantification, and genotyping.
  • Conduct quality control, calibration, maintenance and proficiency testing.
  • Sterilize laboratory equipment and workspaces.
  • Enter clinical patient data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Maintain competency to perform molecular biology protocols per CAP/CLIA/NYSDOH regulations.

Responsibilities:


  • Work in a cutting-edge clinical laboratory to provide high-quality molecular test data with rapid turnaround times.


  • Perform complex molecular-based procedures with a high degree of quality and in accordance with established protocols.


  • Able to identify deviations from established SOPS and apply routine fixes for known and common issues with standard solutions. Able to provide input when troubleshooting and implement solutions under direction and authorization.


  • Perform molecular techniques, which might include quantitative PCR, next-generation sequencing, nucleic acid extraction, DNA/RNA quantification and qualification or genotyping.


  • Perform quality control, calibration, maintenance and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.


  • Sterilizing laboratory equipment and workspaces as assigned.


  • Entering clinical patient data into the Laboratory Information Management system.


  • Maintain competency to perform all assigned molecular biology protocols in accordance with CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH regulations.

Highly Desirable:


  • Experience with next-generation sequencing


  • Work in a CLIA/CAP high-complexity laboratory


  • Experience with robotics and automated liquid handling systems


  • Knowledge of LIMS platforms and various computer systems
