Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a skilled Molecular Technologist to support daily operations in a fast-growing, high-complexity laboratory. You will perform high-complexity testing, review patient results, and maintain instrumentation ensuring QC and calibration across departments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on molecular lab experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with clinicians.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• 1–3+ years of hands-on clinical laboratory experience, including high-complexity testing preferably in a molecular settings with UTI/STI panels.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity testing across multiple departments in accordance with CLIA standards and internal SOPs.
• Review, verify, and release patient results with accuracy; serve as the escalation point for complex testing questions and troubleshooting.
• Maintain instrumentation through QC, calibration, and routine maintenance, flag issues early and follow through on resolution.

Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a skilled and motivated Molecular Technologist to support daily operations within a fast-growing, high-complexity laboratory. This role will provide testing support including molecular and some chemistry ensuring quality, efficiency, and full compliance with CLIA regulations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on, strong technical expertise, a passion for process improvement, and experience working in high-throughput laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Performance & Result Integrity

• Perform high-complexity testing across multiple departments in accordance with CLIA standards and internal SOPs
• Review, verify, and release patient results with accuracy; serve as the escalation point for complex testing questions and troubleshooting
• Maintain instrumentation through QC, calibration, and routine maintenance, flag issues early and follow through on resolution

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to CLIA, QA, and safety standards in day-to-day bench work
• Maintain accurate documentation, SOP compliance, and data integrity, support inspection readiness and internal audit preparation

Skills & Competencies

• Technical depth across multiple lab disciplines especially related to Molecular Testing
• Strong troubleshooting instincts; comfortable working through ambiguous problems without waiting for someone to hand you the answer
• Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to colleagues and clinicians alike
• Process-minded
• Calm under pressure and effective when the workload spikes

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
• 1-3+ years of hands on clinical laboratory experience, including high-complexity testing preferably in a molecular settings with UTI/STI panels
• Solid understanding of CLIA regulations and quality systems
• Experience with automated and semi-automated instrumentation in a high-throughput setting
• Experience using QuantStudio, KingFisher Flex, Gene Expert instruments a plus

Salary Benefits, and Shift:

• Salary: $25-$35/hour
• Shift: 1st shift M-F
