Labcorp is seeking a Technologist to join our Dublin, OH laboratory. You will determine specimen acceptability, perform routine and complex procedures, and monitor instrumentation to ensure accurate test results that support patient care.

This shift runs Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with holiday rotation. Applicants should have a chemistry/biology background and be comfortable with laboratory information systems and PPE.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification.
Willingness to work a varied schedule including holidays and different shifts.

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
